Find me:

It starts tomorrow! Come and visit me, I'm sharing a corner of the amazing space in the Old Chapel, Townshend. Open every day 28th May - 5th June, 11am to 5.30pm.

'Looking West', oil on board, 30cm x 40cm.
The western coastline of Cornwall has the most incredible sunsets, but that's not the only time the sun plays with the colours and the water. This is an early evening, front edge of Summer at Hayle beach

'The Deepest Dive' 30cm x 40cm. Oil on oil paper, framed up and ready.
This is an attempt to portray the imagined sensation of looking up through the water from a deep deep dive. As a kid I loved to be underwater, everything is soft and muffled and the light falls to you, refracted through the choppy waves above.

A little snifter from a new painting - can you tell the sun has been out recently?

Loving the warmer weather, it makes the earth glow and recharges the colours

First one of my China Clay pictures completed, and (for me) its HUGE! (over a metre with the frame - large paint pots in the pic for scale). Framed it myself and feeling rather pleased with it. 'Breaking the Overburden'

Work in Progress. Underwater world!! Imagining the view from the seabed....

Work in Progress. My usual bright colours over-painted with china clay-enriched white paint

End of the week, so here is 'Edge of the World'.....oil on oil paper.
Time for a cheeky Friday gin and then I'm off up to the studio to do measuring and maths and stuff for frame-making

'The Day the Shallows Were Dark'
Another one done, dusted, named, framed and on the website. This one is 30cm x 40cm, framed under glass.

I love the darkness of this one, where the bands of storm clouds scurry across the surface of the ocean, showing brief glimpses of brightness
